CHINA’S SOLUTIONS FOR URBAN GOVERNANCE

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), along with delegations from Zhejiang, Shaanxi, Guangzhou, and other regions, brought together several high-quality enterprises to the conference. These enterprises covered key areas such as smart transportation, low-carbon energy, and digital twins, fully demonstrating the practical achievements and cooperation potential of various regions in China in the digital transformation of cities. This further strengthened China's influence and innovative image in international exchanges on smart cities, and laid a more solid foundation for expanding international cooperation and promoting the global sharing of high-quality demonstration projects in the future.

Congress & Breakout Session

  1. The China Pavilion forum series opened with a themed session on “Future Mobility.” Representatives from leading Chinese enterprises—including EHang, H3C Group, Cainiao Network, China Mobile International, and XPeng Motors—shared their innovative solutions and achievements in the fields of smart cities and future transportation.

    This was followed by the “China–West Dialogue: Co-Creating a Smart Future” roundtable, which brought together government and business representatives from China and Western countries to jointly explore prospects for bilateral cooperation in future mobility and smart city development.

    During the subsequent open forum sessions, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme of “Smart Cities.” Representatives from enterprises and organizations across regions such as Shaanxi, Tianjin, and Shenzhen shared practical experiences and insights drawn from their local initiatives.


  2. Shenzhen hosted the smart city promotion session titled “Shenzhen Smart City Development: Challenges and Opportunities” to showcase its achievements in smart city construction and support local enterprises in expanding overseas. Companies such as SZCDG, Shenzhen Data Exchange, Huawei, and Tencent presented their projects. The session also expressed the hope for deeper cooperation between Barcelona and Shenzhen in smart transportation and public facilities digitization, to achieve resource sharing and complementarity.

  3. Dongguan Vice Mayor Liu Wangxian participated in session “Predicting the Future through Data-Driven Management”:

    “In Dongguan, we promote deep integration of data and urban governance, which has increased citizen engagement. We fully leverage digital thinking and technology to provide intelligent and convenient services for residents.”


  4. At the high-level roundtable titled “Government Technology in Practice: How Digital Tools Strengthen Public Services,” the General Manager of the Government Business Department of Dahua Technology’s Overseas Marketing Center shared practical experiences on how digital tools can empower the upgrading of public services. He noted that the essence of urban digitalization lies in creating a better quality of life for citizens—ensuring that technology truly serves people and delivers tangible improvements to everyday living standards.

  5. In the session “Lessons Learned from Urban EV Deployment”, Tencent Cloud International’s Director of Multinational Enterprise Business in Europe:

    “China’s electrification started relatively late, but the government has a clear agenda for energy independence. Policies that make EVs easier to obtain than non-electric vehicles have driven rapid expansion.”
