Smart Connectivity, Zero Carbon Future - Digital Technologies Shaping the Next Generation of Urban Energy
According to IEA (International Energy Agency) projections, Asia will consume half of the world's electricity by 2025, and as early as 2021, Asia accounted for half of global carbon emissions, so accelerating Asia's energy system to zero-carbon transition is a top priority and a key initiative to combat global climate change. And fossil energy dependence remains high (coal power accounts for more than 60%), leading to increased air pollution and lack of grid stability. China has accumulated rich experience in renewable energy technology, smart grid management and AI-enabled energy transformation, forming a "technology export + local adaptation" solution. This roundtable will focus on the core pain points of energy transition in Asian cities, discuss how to integrate clean energy production, optimize energy dispatch and reduce carbon emissions through digital technology, and promote in-depth cooperation between China and Asian countries in the dimensions of technology, policy and finance.
